Divine Prince ONE/ONE Divine Prince (Known to Friends and Family as Divine) is a living testimony to the life changing power of Hiphop/Hip Hop as a Unifying Culture, a Prosperous Career and a Rewarding Spiritual Path. Raised in Southern California (Ventura County) and born in the season of Leo (July 26th 2001), Divine entered this Word in The Information Age (2001-2011), a time in which the Hip Hop Declaration of Peace was established, The Temple of Hip Hop established itself as a legitimate Hip Hop preservation society and Hip Hop ministry, and Hip Hop Kulture as a whole became common knowledge in the inner cities and within the institutions of the World.

Before Divine even knew it he was being trained in the art of Real Hip Hop, guided through his traditional public school education, (where he wrote his first Rap and went through traditional music education in Classical Band, Jazz Band and Marching Band) as well as his time studying Jazz Saxophone at Idyllwild Arts (where he first was first introduced to the art of Beatmakin) by conscious and intelligent rap music. Although he had been listening to rap music since he was little, it was the album Donuts by J Dilla and The Autobiography of Malcolm X that as he says, “…awakened the Hiphoppa inside of me!”

Through a voluntary and intense immersion in Hip Hop’s Kulture (which included everything from listening to “old school” tapes, watching Hip Hop documentaries, reading books about Hip Hop, as well as spending time listening to recorded interviews with Hiphop’s pioneers, elders, and ancestors), Divine made the full transition from a Rap Fan to a Hiphoppa, during which time he was introduced to The Temple of Hip Hop and the teachings of Hip Hop’s first Master Teacha KRS-ONE (through what is commonly called “The Rockstar Lecture”). Not long after that, his Mother (a Presbyterian Pastor) bought him his first copy of The Gospel of Hip Hop for Christmas, he took the vow:

I AM HIPHOP

and the rest is oustory (our-story).

Divine Prince One/One Divine Prince is now a Certified Hip Hop Kultural Specialist who teaches, lectures and advises on all matters related to Hiphop, Hip Hop and hip-hop. He produces himself and other artists and is the Founder/CEO of Divine Distribution.
